Project Overview
For the renovation of this property, partner architect Luc Voisin designed the new layout. We preserved all the existing volumes, but the floors, radiators, kitchen, bathroom, and some windows were removed and replaced. On the ground floor, we completely renovated the kitchen and bathrooms, selecting high-quality materials. Extensive custom carpentry work was undertaken to create a magnificent two-story bookcase, extending to the ceiling, to adorn the living room wall. A staircase was also designed, along with railings to maintain continuity with the stair railing. Upstairs, we created a master suite with the addition of a bathroom. It rests on a raised platform to elevate it and separate it from the mezzanine hallway, which is divided by a glass partition that allows ample natural light into the room. Because the master suite is located under sloping ceilings, all the storage was also custom-made, as was the office space. Finally, a beautiful lighting design was achieved by choosing specific fixtures to harmonize this loft and create diffused, indirect light in certain strategic areas. To improve the apartment's energy efficiency, the owners opted for low-consumption radiators.
Welcome to Violaine and Raphael's home, a couple from Lyon who invested in this duplex near Parc Montel in the 9th arrondissement.
